Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. The Olympics kick off this coming weekend. Will you be watching? If you could watch just one event in person, which one would you choose?

Yes! I enjoy watching the Olympics.  I like the swimming, diving, and gymnastics.  If I could pick one to watch in person I'd pick gymnastics.  Go Team USA!

2. Have you ever been to Paris? Is this a city you'd like to visit? What's your favorite 'French thing'? No I have not been to Paris.  Does Paris, Texas count?  My Meemaw used to live there!

3. Macaron, creme brulee, chocolate soufle, mille feuille, or an eclair...your favorite French patisserie from the ones listed? Eclair of this list

4. July 24th is National Cousins Day...do you have many cousins? Are you close to them? Will you see any of your cousins on July 24th?

Yes I have many cousins.  I will not see any of them on July 24.  I'm closer to some than others.  I have fond memories of when we were younger and the holiday get togethers we would have.  One of them stayed at our house when her Mom worked.  She was born when I was in 3rd grade.  She was my maid of honor.  She doesn't live nearby but we are still close.  A sweet memory I have is how she came when Titus was born and stayed over night.  I remember her holding him, the sweet picture she got, and brushing my hair.

5.  Last time you went somewhere that felt like 'everyone and his cousin' was there?
The HEB parking lot for grocery pick up.  It reminded me why I don't go to HEB!  It is just crazy we only have one here....it is always so busy!  I used to go weekly but I don't shop there anymore.  The parking lot alone was crazy.  I don't plan to do more grocery pick ups there because of the parking lot.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Our library had a cake decorating class this week.  It was a fun event.  I got to go to this with my daughter in love.  This is my cake...it is the mouse from the children's book A Piece of Cake by LeUyen Pham. It tasted so good too!

Have a day of blessings!

A cake decorating class sounds fun. I'd like to learn how to do the decorated cookies. I love to bake cookies but I'm not great with the icing techniques. Hope you have a great day!

What a cute little cake! I bet it was good. Fun thing to do with your DIL.
It would have been nice if all my cousins stayed close but it didn’t happen. Oh well.

Enjoy watching the Olympics. I picked eclair also. That is a sweet memory with your cousin. That sounds like a fun time at the library. Your cake is really cute.
