Thankful Thursday

It's time for Thankful Thursday again.  Isn't it a good habit to stop and give thanks?  Doing Thankful Thursday each week reminds me all week long of all the blessings in my life.

This week I am thankful for...

~ the way  my wonderful husband blessed me on Monday.  He was off work because it was Labor Day.  I was not feeling well, and he took care of me.  Besides that he did most of the chores I do on Mondays.  He did laundry and cooked supper.  It made me smile Tuesday morning to see those empty laundry baskets!  He is such a blessing.

~ my boy making a good adjustment to school and homework.  Last week he did not have homework which I thought was nice.  This week the homework started so I knew we'd have to figure out the after school schedule to get things done.  He has had a short math page and math facts practice, spelling practice, and reading 20 minutes.  Except he doesn't like to stop reading when the 20 minutes are up!  I told him we'd have to switch the order he does it in and save reading for last so he can keep on reading if he wants!

~ the fun of making things to enter in the local fair.  My boy entered two pictures he'd drawn this summer, a photograph, a clay sculpture, jewelry, and a wallet made from duct tape.  He is entering a cake and cookies also but those haven't been turned in yet.  I entered a patriotic wreath and a photograph and have baked goods to make next week.  When I dropped off our entries, it was fun to see the other entries too. I look forward to going to look at all the displays.

~ being able to resolve an issue with our bank and my debit card that we found out about over the weekend.

~ music.  Singing and listening to music brings joy to my heart!

Have a day of blessings!

Such a wonderful list of thanks but I love how you added music at the end... Praise music just makes my day... Singing praises to the Lord. Have a blessed day!

It seems that your little guy is an avid reader! I always loved to read, too. What a blessing.
