Thankful Thursday

I was thinking this morning how it seems there is a lot of bad news everywhere.  When we hear all this negativity, it would be easy to just wallow in it and be miserable.  I'd like to encourage you today that whatever is happening in your personal life or that you see happening in the world around you that there are many things for which you can be thankful.  Take a minute to just stop and focus on the blessings.  Focus on the things you don't normally take time to notice.

Today I am thankful for...
~ my husband working to provide for our family and his concern for us and our safety.

~ my boy having a fun time at an art lesson.  Since he enjoyed art camp so much this summer, we decided to let him try the once a week art lessons offered locally at our library.  He had a fun time with it and wants to go back!  I'm glad he can find things he enjoys doing.

~ being able to volunteer at the school.

~ getting some of the yard mowed.  With the recent little bit of rain we had some grass that started growing.  I don't know if my husband has ever mowed here, maybe once or twice, since we have lived here because of the drought. I thought I would try and do a little of it.  I learned we have a big yard!  I mowed till it ran out of gas.

~ learning things together during our family lesson time.

This month we are at Grace Alone if you want to join us for Thankful Thursday.
Have a day of blessings!

Hi Bethany, Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for such sweet words. I loved reading about your life and your grateful heart. If we all would focus more on our blessings instead of what we don't have, we would learn to be content with all the Lord has given us. I loved your "Think About This" on your side bar-you are so right. Mothers have the most important job in the world and one that impacts so many beyond their family.
Blessings to you dear one.

I love this post. I couldn't agree more; with all the negativity in the world, it's great to be reminded of all the things God provides for.

Isn't it the small things in life that add up and make a difference. We all should be thankful in every situation. Thank you for sharing.

Blessings,
Misty

It is so true, Bethany; there is so much negative things going on around us. But we should be looking for things to be thankful for. There many blessings in our lives we tend to forget.

Thank you for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Love & peace,
