Flashback Friday: First Aid

For today's flashback we are remembering accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
My flashback:
I do not remember how old I was but one night I had a big accident while going on a walk with my Dad. He was walking and I was riding my bike. We were heading towards home and coming down a hill. I started down the hill and had the "bright" idea to take my feet off the pedals. Well, the bicycle got going so fast and I lost control and tumbled. We always teased my Dad for being slow but I remember that night that he got to my side quickly. I think he even had to carry me home. I have a scar on my knee today from that injury.

I remember when I was sick my Mom telling me "no Bethany, you can't go to school, you have a fever." I would beg her to let me go and tell her I'd be okay. I did not want to miss school!
When I was sick or ever said anything hurt, I remember my Dad always would say a prayer for it, whatever it was.
Have a day of blessings!

You're young enough that you may have had a bicycle helmet growing up, but folks in my age group didn't. All the bike injuries, and we still made it to adulthood! LOL

Your comment on my post about Vicks cracked me up. I've never heard of putting it on the feet!
