Iris talked about new things in her post this week. Something new that happened for us was snow! Several times this winter it snowed all around us, but we did not receive any except a few flakes on Christmas Eve. Caleb prayed on Monday night for 50 to 100 feet of snow. Tuesday morning it was icy and snowy. I was so excited as I watched the beautiful snow fall all morning long. In Texas you never know really what your weather will be. It was in the 70s and the boys went to play tball in their tshirts on Sunday. I thought how wonderful it is for God to give us all different types of weather to enjoy. It was just beautiful to see everything covered in the soft blanket of white. And I loved seeing the excitement of my little boy as he enjoyed being out in the snow after getting out of school early Tuesday afternoon.
What are you thankful for today? This week I am thankful for...
~ my sweet husband helping out so much. He just amazes me every day with all he does for us and our family, and I love him so much!
~ my sweet boy praying and having his prayers answered. Wednesday as he saw the sun shining and the snow begin to melt he said, "Maybe tonight I'll pray that it snows again tomorrow." Our Bible story before bed was about Hannah's prayer so we talked about how God sometimes gives us an answer right away, sometimes we have to wait or He says no and sometimes He gives us something better than we could have imagined.
~ playing in the snow with my boys!
~ hugging the necks of sweet friends from high school. We attended the funeral of a classmate and it was nice to reconnect for a few minutes with a friend I hadn't seen for many years.
~ finding new audio books to listen to on sale cheap at the library book sale. I found some books that I've been wanting to read and just haven't. I was running out of audio books, so I was excited to find some new ones!

I read that Texas got snow! How awesome is that? I guess if you have to drive in the snow, it's not fun. But play in the snow ...now that's fun.
Blessings and love,
Debbie

Thanks for sharing. It's awesome that God hears a little boy's cry for snow. We have plenty here in Nebraska, do you want me to send you some?? Blessings on your day!
How cool is that...I am sure your son will remember this for the rest of his sweet life!

How cool that it snowed after he had prayed for it! I just love it!!! What a sweet picture to see them playing in the snow.
I love it that your sweet son got to see God answer his prayers :)
What a beautiful post. I am so sorry about the loss of a classmate.
I am very happy Caleb got to see and play in the snow!!! My little guy loves the snow too!! LOL
What a sweet boy!
Could you ask him to pray that we get no more snow up north here? Ha. My husband keeps wanting to move to Texas and I keep telling him we would miss the change in seasons. But after this winter, maybe we should!
