It's time again for "As long as it is called Today" for the first Tuesday in July as we encourage one another as Christian women and men. I hope you will join me in July each week on Tuesdays as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers.

Now for this week's question: Do you memorize scripture as an adult? What methods do you use to help you memorize verses?
My answer: I have a verse I write on an index card which is on a ring so all the cards for the year are together in one place. This is an idea I got from Beth Moore I think. This is the verse I think about and read over and over throughout the week. It helps me remember it to look at it and be able to carry it around with me.

I look forward to reading your answers of ways you "hide God's Word in your heart." God bless you!

I actually haven't been working on memorizing scripture however; today my son and I focussed on Psalm 46:1b, we read over it and he showed me the hand signals he learned on Sunday and hopefully by the end of the week we will both know it!!
My Dear Friend,
You encourage and inspire me. I think I will start to use your system. I'm not very good at memorizing, but God can fix that, can't He?
Thank you for your kind and endearing comments and prayers on my site. I love you dear sister.
I'm happy your son enjoyed our little chipmunk visitor!
Blessings,

I love you my friend.
I do memorize Scripture regularly. I use a system I came across awhile back. It's a method that uses index cards and an index card box with dividers. It is such a great system that not only has you continually going over your current memory verse but keeps you continually reviewing other verses you've memorized. Here is the link to where this system is talked about:

I highly recommend it to everyone!
Hope you have a great week!
