As long as it is called Today: Christian home keepers (June)

I'm glad you're here for "As long as it is called Today." Our focus on the fourth week of the month is to encourage one another as Christian home keepers. I hope you will join me each week on Tuesdays as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers.

Be sure to read the answers to last week's question or leave an answer.

Today's question: Summer is here! Share a favorite idea of something to cook on the grill.

My answer: We've been cooking potatoes on the grill lately. I peel and cut up the potatoes. We wrap them in foil with some pepper, butter, and onion and throw them on the grill. My husband really does the grilling so I look forward to some new things to try from your ideas. :)
Thanks for participating! Have a blessed day!

We do a lot...pork loin, roasts, steaks...burgers... lots of corn on the cob too. Just soak it in water for a few minutes before you put it on the grill!

God bless-
Amanda

Sounds interesting! I'm always trying to figure out something new to do with potatoes besides baked, mashed, or boiled!

I love how grilled fish taste on the grill. Now something that is tasty too is grilled fruit but it has to be certain ones though.

My husband cooks potatoes in a similar way, minus the onions. He also cooks carrots that way. Yummy!

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment on the book review. IF your husband should win one, he will enjoy and profit from it....I cook just about "everything" on the grill but mostly hamburgers and hot dogs. My favorite is pork spare ribs...Did you notice that ACU's President is retiring?

One of our favorites is bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles. You have to watch the tips though, as they'll burn before the rest is tender, if you're not careful.
Another thing we do, when grilling meats, is to always do at least 2 kinds, incase someone doesn't care for one. ie: chicken breast + steak, or hamburgers + weiners, etc.
Shish-ka-bobs are our all time favorite grilled food. The combination possibilities are endless, & just serve with a big bowl of rice.

Here's something my Dad likes to grill and they are quite tasty. Take a whole onion, core it leaving one core in at one end. Just a small whole in the middle will work fine. And the part you take out can be used in another dish. In the cavity put some butter, salt, and pepper. Wrap it up in aluminum foil and grill it until it's soft. It makes a perfect side dish to a grilled burger!
