Welcome to a time of sharing "As long as it is called Today." I hope you will join us each week on Friday as we encourage each other in our daily lives as Christians, spouses, parents, and home keepers. First be sure to check out every one's answer to last week's question by clicking the link below. If you weren't here last week and would like to answer, please do so now and come back to answer today's question.
January has five Friday's so the topic this week is random.
Today's question: Share any memory you have about winter.
My answer: In school it seemed we didn't have many bad weather days. One day in high school I remember an icy morning. I cannot remember why I drove myself to school that day. I don't remember how the roads were. I DO remember the parking lot. I was doing circles in that little gray car of mine. I guess I had no idea how to drive on the ice. Thankfully the parking lot was empty at the time and I did eventually get into a parking spot! This is a funny winter memory I have.
Thanks for stopping by. Please leave your answer in the comments. I think it will be fun to read winter memories. I'm a girl that rarely sees snow so I like hearing others tell stories about it!

I haven't always lived in Arizona and California so I do have a few winter memories. Growing up in Oklahoma I remember walking to school in snow but I especially remember the days when the ground was covered with ice and it was hard to stand up or walk up a little hill. When I was a teenager I learned to drive on ice. Later in college in Texas I remember the wind felt like cold knives driving right through you.
Growing up in Fargo , ND what I remember most about winter is just the cold. Everywhere you go your cold. And getting into cars...thats REALLY cold. And they take forever to heat up when you dont have a garage.
Hope you are having a blessed day!
Amanda
Winter memories:
1) As a child, selecting a Christmas tree with my Grandfather on his farm. We went out on his sleigh pulled by his horse Billie.
2) Taking my children tabagganing at my mom and stepdad's every winter when they were little. It was an awesome, steep hill that went out onto a lake that was 2-3 ft.thick with ice.
3) Being snowed in during the blizzard of '93 and hubby and I hearing from the Lord, giving us our vision for our ministry where we are now.
Probably this winter... with the snow and the difficulty getting back to Maryland to see the family... writing funny lyrics to winter related songs...
