Books #40 and #41

I have two more books to add to my completed list for this year.

The first A Carol for Christmas by Robin Lee Hatcher I finished Saturday. This is a nice little Christmas story, a very fast, easy read. Like the other books I've read by this author I enjoyed this one. This is the story of Carol, a young newlywed who is troubled by her husband's long hours working at the department store during the holidays trying to please and impress his father. Her mother-in-law asks her to help out with a benefit by singing backup with a famous singer. The singer notices her great talent and even introduces her to his agent. Carol feels torn with her absent husband and her desire to pursue her singing talent in Nashville.

The next book I finished today is called Too Busy Not To Pray by Jo Carr and Imogene Sorley. I found this little book at our library book sale and have been reading through the prayers. These prayers are written for homemakers. I marked my favorites as I was reading...the ones that made me stop and say yes this is me or this is exactly how I've felt. I plan to share those in the coming year.
