Thankful Thursday

1 Praise the Lord!
I will thank the Lord with all my heart
as I meet with his godly people.
2 How amazing are the deeds of the Lord!
All who delight in him should ponder them.
3 Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty.
His righteousness never fails.
4 He causes us to remember his wonderful works.
How gracious and merciful is our Lord!
5 He gives food to those who fear him;
he always remembers his covenant.
6 He has shown his great power to his people
by giving them the lands of other nations.
7 All he does is just and good,
and all his commandments are trustworthy.
8 They are forever true,
to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
9 He has paid a full ransom for his people.
He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever.
What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.

Praise him forever! Psalm 111 (NLT)

Welcome to Thankful Thursday! I'm glad you chose to stop by today as I pause to give thanks. I read the above Psalm on Wednesday and wanted to share it here. I have many things I am thankful for this week.

I give thanks for . . .

*my husband being home! I'm so thankful he had a safe trip and enjoyed his time in D.C. It was wonderful to have him home again though.

*hearing my son say Mom I need you. I love you so much. It touches my heart! Today he told me I'll always need you Mom.

*our car seat being repaired. Before my husband left on his trip, we took him lunch. I was going to let him drive and he got in my car and the seat wouldn't move back! We have an electric seat on the driver's side. I guess it was good it was stuck in my position. We took it in today and had it fixed. It wasn't a major probably thankfully, just a wire rubbing and caused it to short circuit.

*having a nice time last week visiting at my Mom's house. It was nice to be there and not be home lonely.

*friends.

Have a blessed day! I have been encouraged lately reading of various people who are thankful during some very trying circumstances for their families. My prayers are with those and I feel God will bless you for your thankfulness to Him, knowing His timing and His hand are on your life.

Wonderful thankful list. I love the scripture, especially this version of it. It certainly points out how God provides for those who love and serve him. Thanks for the reminder. The part about him giving other lands to his people. This would drive the Libs crazy.
