This week the days have felt long. We've been visiting at my Mom's house while my husband is out of town. We won't be able to have little trips away like this next year when Caleb is in school! It is nice to have a change of pace and not have the same chores and routine here as I do at home. We arrived Sunday and met my Mom at her church. Monday we had Chinese food for lunch with my grandmother. Tuesday afternoon we went to look at the pumpkins and I took pictures of Caleb. He had fun walking across them this year. My aunt met us there too so we got to see her for a bit. Wednesday Caleb went into one of the PreK rooms to visit for an apple lesson. He really enjoyed being there! He likes going to eat breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria at the school where my Mom works.
Thank you, God, for....
*my husband's safe travel and all he's been able to see and learn while in D.C.
*my sweet son's laughter. I've read in two places this past week how many hundreds of times in a day children laugh compared to the few number of laughs from adults. I'm thankful to have his laugh because hearing it makes me happy too!
*free minutes on our cell phone. This is handy this week to know I get to talk to my sweetie each evening.
*lovely things of fall. On the drive here we saw leaves changing colors and yesterday we went to take Caleb's picture in the pumpkins. I love leaves, pumpkins, and scarecrows!
*that tomorrow is Friday and my sweetie will be home!! (Please pray for good weather for flying home on time! I don't know if I'll be very patient. He's been stuck at the airport before due to weather!)
Thank you for stopping by to visit today. Find more participants in Thankful Thursday through the link on my sidebar.
