I'd already picked our theme of trains when I read in the paper about the train show over the weekend. Daddy and Caleb went to it last year and were planning to go this year. However, it was cancelled because Hurricane Ike evacuees were being housed in the location. Another event was scheduled, though, at the train depot. We got to get on an old locomotive where Caleb had fun ringing the bell. They had the various train cars open so we walked through those too. Then the boys rode the hand cars. It was the perfect way to end our week about trains!
This past week we learned about airplanes. Daddy brought us pictures from his trip, both at the airport, from the window of his plane, and from the National Air & Space Museum.
(We are all home safely and are getting a few things put away and clothes washed this morning!)
