Thankful Thursday

I have felt so blessed and loved this week. It is wonderful to have people in my life who love me and care for me, people who do nice things "just because," people who are true friends.

When I was looking through my post labels sometime in the past week, I saw that this would be my 52nd Thankful Thursday post. I looked back to my first post, which was on September 6, 2007! This year has gone quickly! I'm thankful for this time each week to give thanks. Now for this week's thankfulness.

I am thankful for...

*the sweet generous surprise from my husband. He totally surprised me this week by giving me his own money to do something for myself. When he gets paid every two weeks, I get cash at the bank for all our different "envelopes" (see Total Money Makeover!) and he gets $20 to use however he wants. He said he just wanted to give it to me because he knows I have trouble spending money on myself. This was just so sweet of him and makes me smile.

*the wonderful 4 year old check-up this week for our growing boy. He was 38 lbs. and 42 1/4 in. I'm thankful for his growth and health.

*sweet notes in the mail from friends. I received a totally unexpected thank you note from a friend (another one of my friends I met through the Internet) this week, and it brightened my day.

*having fun working on Caleb's scrapbook this week. It has been a L O N G time since I put in new pictures. I have them all in order in the envelopes they come in when I order them. But the envelopes were taking up more space than the tub. I am on May 2007 now. I want to finish up this book to August 2007 and then put pictures in photo albums for a while.

*good deals on groceries this week. I bought 5 lb. bags of potatoes for $1 as well as chicken breasts for $1 a pound.
