Thankful Thursday

Feeling grateful or appreciative
of someone or something in your life
actually attracts more of the
things that you appreciate
and value into your life.

Christiane Northrup

I received this as a "thought for today" email this week and saved it to put with my Thankful Thursday post this week. Isn't that the truth though? I know I enjoy being around people who are genuine and appreciative.

Iris has chosen peace as today's topic. I'm so thankful for God's peace. This has come up several times for me recently in verses, lessons (as mentioned in Monday's post) and things I've read. It has comforted my worries.

This week I am thankful for...

* my husband's job and his being able to enjoy some time out of the office this week at a meeting after a very busy week last week. He has been approved to take a class as well on Thursday, which is a blessing. Pray for his safety as he must leave extra early!

* kind words from my son with his honesty and sincerity. It touched my heart when he told me "It's not your fault." Also, this morning he opened the back window and got me to come look at the sunrise. It was a wonderful moment to share.

* we don't have termites. This is an answer to prayer. How the insects looked fit the pictures and descriptions we saw online so we're thankful they were just ants and they can be treated.

* the wonderful blessing of rain for our dry land this week. The sound and sight of rain was the best thing!

* the encouraging lesson tonight shared by a guest speaker at church. I'll probably share more about this another time.

I feel very blessed this week with God's love, peace, and provision. Hope you are having a nice week. Thank you for stopping. I appreciate your comments that you leave. Have a happy day with Jesus!

Thanks for sharing the lovely quote with us. It is so true that as we learn to be thankful, we find more and more reasons to be thankful! Praying for your dear husband for God's blessings and care. Your boy is such a sweetie :) So precious to be able to enjoy the sunrise together. Thanks for sharing your thankful heart with us. It is always encouraging to read of God's goodness to you. Take care and may God bless you and family abundantly!
