It has been a fun, busy week for us as we have celebrated our son's 4th birthday! I am going to make this post all about him today on Thankful Thursday.
I am thankful for my son because...
*he makes me smile and laugh everyday. He has been saying some funny phrases lately, repeating things he hears us say. A funny one is "whatever." It is so cute because he says it with perfect timing and inflection in his voice so it makes the situation so funny.
*he asks many questions and loves learning new things. I never knew just how many questions a child could ask. So often I hear of parents who get tired of their kids talking and asking questions. I try to remind myself that these questions are the way he learns. He has asked some amazing things and sometimes I have trouble finding answers. We've talked about heaven and that always brings up questions that I don't have answers to give him.
*he is considerate of others. He is good about saying "I'm sorry" and showing concern when someone is sad or hurt. He wants to try to make things better.
*he has taught me so much....to notice the little things, there is more than one right way to do some things, to be happy.
*he was an answer to our prayers. God knew we wanted children and He answered that prayer giving us Caleb at a perfect time in our lives.
*he gives wonderful hugs and snuggles every morning!
I could list many more reasons why I'm thankful for Caleb. He is such a blessing to our lives and all who know him.
Thank you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Thursday and be joyful!

16 "But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.
17 O my Strength, I sing praise to you;
you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God." Psalm 59:16, 17
