One of my very favorite songs about our great country is "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood. I remember as a young child hearing this song I believe for the first time when it was sung at our school talent show by an older guy. When I hear this song I am reminded of those talent shows.
I'm thankful to be an American. I am thankful for my freedom. As the poem I posted last week says, "Freedom isn't free." Through the years many sacrifices have been made for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today. Continue to be thankful for your country today, even though it isn't Independence Day!
