Friday afternoon after Caleb's nap, Gramma arrived for a weekend visit. Caleb was so excited to see her, as always. In the evening we went to eat at Roadhouse and went to a couple of stores. We got the cake pan for someone's upcoming birthday! I had a 50% off coupon for Michael's that I had actually forgotten about. It was valid through the weekend so it came in very handy on the cake pan.
Saturday morning I began working on packing for the mission trip. I have a couple tubs with sheets and towels that I will send with the church van in the trailer rather than try to fit everything into the car. This was one of my concerns months ago, and then I found out they were taking the trailer and could take our extras. Mom and Caleb cleaned out his closet. She thought it would have been more helpful in the cleaning if Caleb and I weren't in the house! We both kept telling her why not to throw out things. She did get a couple bags ready for the garage sale box. Then she proceeded to reorganize his room. It looks so much better. She moved some things around plus he has more room in the closet to store some things. We had lunch and before nap they started cleaning Caleb's bathroom. Caleb loved mopping with his own little mop. My husband and I went out to do some shopping and eat together for our anniversary. When we got home Caleb had made us an anniversary card. Also they had cleaned our bathroom.
At bedtime that time I told my Mom that it just made me want to cry that she cleaned our bathrooms. In the past couple of weeks I had thought to myself I should see how much it would cost for the neighbor lady (she's advertised recently that she does cleaning) to come clean our bathrooms as an anniversary present for us. Then Mom did it without my asking or mentioning it. It just really touched my heart. It is really nice to have them cleaned before our trip as well as Caleb's room and the living room. Caleb hugged me and said, "We did it and you didn't have to pay us!"
Thank you Mom and Caleb!
