Thankful Thursday

I feel very thankful this week! It is so wonderful to be back home in our routine after being gone for a few days. There is so much to be thankful for everyday and I always look forward to posting my thankful list of the week. Join us if you would like at Sting my Heart.

I am thankful for...

*my husband's help with doing the loading/unloading and a majority of the driving for our trip, plus all his help unpacking after our trip.

*my sweet son's wonderful behavior on our trip. He was one tired little boy from all the activities and being off of his schedule, but he was so well-behaved for the graduation ceremonies and had fun with the family we visited.

*our air conditioning. It is so nice to come inside and feel the coolness of the house after being in the heat. I like how our house does a good job holding its temperature.

*safe travel. By the time we got home my husband said we'd gone 795 miles on our trip. Thank You, God, for keeping us safe.

*roast for supper and more in the freezer. It had been a while since we had roast for supper. I bought two on sale the last time I went to HEB, and they were on sale again this week so I got two more. It is a blessing to have a tasty, easy to prepare meal. Plus I like to use the crock pot and avoid heating up the house with the oven.

Have a blessed day! Thanks for stopping by!

I know what a difference air conditioning can make - we have a weather of about 38C (that's about 100F)!
Loved your post. God bless you.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip and visit. I have wondered how other couples divide up the responsibilities involved. I usually do the packing and unpacking. My Honey Bear loads and unloads the car.Sometimes we share the driving. I get bored sometimes being the passenger, I can't read or do needle work because of car sickness.
I like to cook in the crockpost, too. Who doesn't like one dish meals. So easy! Now I'll check out some of your recipes.

You're using your air conditioner?? I'm so jealous! It's been an unusually cold and wet spring here. So thankful for your trip and safety! God is so faithful. Mmmmmmm...roast sounds good. :) Thanks for sharing. Blessings!

And a roast! I can't remember when I last fixed a roast...months ago I guess. You're making me hungry, girl!

I'm so glad that you had a good trip, God kept you safe, and that traveling went well for you son.

I've got a roast in the freezer. And now I'm anxious to cook it up. We're doing hamburgers tomorrow for Memorial Day. So, maybe we'll have roast on Tuesday. It's so easy and delicious. I just slice up an onion or two and lay them across the top of the roast before cooking.
