Farmer's Market is open
When we got back to town, I read in one of our newspapers that the Farmer's Market was opening this week. Before that I hadn't decided if Caleb and I were going to go to town, but when I read it was the first week, I knew I wanted to go! We stopped at the bank first for a couple of deposits and to get cash. Then we went downtown to the farmer's market. It is right by the train station so we got to see and hear the trains too. We got some fresh onions, tomatoes, and new potatoes. Caleb wanted a watermelon but I didn't want to pay $6 for a small one. We had one of the tomatoes with our supper tonight as well as some of the new potatoes. They were so yummy and fresh! I always look forward to going and getting fresh veggies for our supper! We finished up our morning at HEB getting a few things that were on sale.

We LOVE the farmers market in Johnson City! I don't think ours is open yet, but I hadn't given it much thought..I'll have to check. My five year old LOVES cucumbers!
We bought a watermelon at Wal-mart tonight!
That sounds so good! Makes me want to go to the Farmers Market.
There is NOTHING like fresh veggies and fruits. We have a farmers market nearby too. I sometimes just like to go browse.
I love Farmer's Markets. You just reminded me I need to go. Soon. I liked your review of The Penny. Going to have to add that one to my list of "must reads". Have a great day!
I absolutely love garden fresh tomatos! So much better than ones you get in the supermarkets. Our Farmers Market should be opening soon - hurrah!
Welcome back.
Smiles and have a great Wednesday.
