My Collection!

I am so excited to have my Precious Moments collection at our house now! I have been a PM collector for many years. When I was a child we went to the Precious Moments Chapel one year on our vacation. If you click on the link you can see the inside of the chapel. The ceiling is gorgeous. My parents bought me a beautiful curio cabinet for my collection sometime when I was in high school. The curio has been at my Mom's house, and the PM have been wrapped and boxed in the closet. We didn't want to move them with us to the various places we were moving in the earlier days of our marriage. Now that we are settled (we've been here over 4 years so that is pretty settled I guess!), I decided I would really love to have the PM here where I can see and enjoy them. On one trip to my Mom's we took the truck so we could bring back the curio cabinet. I had several PM figurines here already that I've acquired in the past few years. I have a couple shelves on a bookshelf where they sit. Caleb helped me arrange those on the wooden shelves of the curio one day. He has been very intrigued with them. He enjoys looking at them and is very careful when he picks them up. We got the boxes of packed PM, and they've all been unpacked now. I created a list so I can know which ones I have.

I usually receive the figurines as gifts. My Mom has given me a dated Christmas figurine each year since 1999. I also get the membership figurine each year. Most of the figurines have a special story because of the figurine itself or the title. I have several graduation girls. As I was unpacking them I was thinking how many times did I graduate? I have one from 8th grade and high school graduation as well as college. I think I may have gotten a graduation one from my parents and JMP when I graduated college. I also have two PM dolls, which you can see beside the curio. I'm not sure where I'm putting them yet.

Here are some pictures of my collection and a few of my favorite figurines. JMP calls them my sad eyed dolls!

I have one shelf for part of my PM club membership figurines. Back in 1990 I believe Peepaw gave me a membership to the club for my birthday. Each year has a different theme. This years is the figurine on the left of the girl kneeling at her garden. It's called "Sow Much to Do."

I always liked this one because of the title: "I Can't Spell Success Without You." It is hard to see in the picture that the blocks spell S CCESS and the little puppy has the U.

I actually have two of this little figurine. It is called "Lettuce Pray."

This was on top of our wedding cake. It is called "The Lord Bless You and Keep You."

This one is special to me. My sweet friend (Sarah) mailed it to me with a card for Mother's Day after my miscarriage. It has been such a sweet reminder to me through the years of our baby and also how much something so simple can mean so much to someone when they are hurting. It was so nice to be remembered. It is a little box and the lid comes off. The heart attached says "A Mom's Love is the Best Gift of All."

JMP gave me this one for my birthday also as a remembrance of our baby after the miscarriage. It is called "Our Loss is Heaven's Gain."

I got this one called "I Love You This Much" from Caleb for Christmas 2006. Caleb really loves this one since it has his name on the bottom!

It has made me very excited to have my collection at our house and be able to enjoy them. Unpacking them was like Christmas for me because I'd forgotten so many of them after not seeing them for so long. I love how they all have a story and cute names.

Life is filled with Precious Moments, and it is special to me to have these cute little figurines to remember the special times of my life.

What a wonderful collection! I love it that each one is tied to a story and a memory.

Even though we are long distance friends, I am honored to have your friendship. :)

I have always love the Precious Moments statues. Hubby gave me one when we got married. It was actually stolen from his car and his best friend replaced it!

I used to collect Precious Moments when I was young. The first Bible I ever received was a Precious Moments Bible from my parents. I still have it to this day.
