"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for to morrow." Melody Beattie
This quote was on my calendar recently, and I knew when I read it that I'd have to share it as part of my Thankful Thursday quote. How important it is to have a heart of gratitude, a heart of thankfulness.
Yesterday was my birthday. I am thankful for my life these past 29 years and my parents' love to me as I was growing.
This week I have so much for which to give thanks...
*my loving husband. He took off work so we could come visit my Mom for my birthday. He made cinnamon rolls for me too and took me to lunch yesterday.
*my sweet boy making my birthday special. When he gave me the card he made me, he said is that going to make you cry? Yesterday when I got up he asked what I was doing and why I was getting dressed. I told him we were going to the food pantry. He said it's Wednesday? It's your birthday? Then he said I better tell Daddy it's your birthday. It was so cute.
*the sweet cards, emails, and calls from my family and friends who remembered my birthday. It is nice to know people remember.
*being well. It was nice to have our normal activities and feel like doing them.
*the sunshine. I was able to hang out clothes again. It was nice to feel the warmth of the sun.
Hope you have a happy Thankful Thursday. Thank you for stopping by! I will be picking a winner for the book giveaway tomorrow so sign up if you are interested. You can visit other Thankful Thursday posts by visiting Sting My Heart. God bless you!

Happy Belated Birthday. Hey, I'm still 29 and it's been a LONG time now. You see, you never leave this age. Cool huh?
Happy TT to you!

Happy Birthday sweet one, may you be blessed with many more.
The quote you are sharing from Melody Beattie is indeed awesome. I have to jot that down.
Happy belated birthday to you. It sounds like you had a great one :)
Hanging clothes outside is so cool. They always smell so much better than drying them in the dryer.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this past week.
Blessings to you and your precious family.
