Choose life

I finished a book Beyond Tuesday Morning by Karen Kingsbury yesterday. It is the sequel to another one I read recently called One Tuesday Morning. They are fiction books based on families involved with 9/11. One of the theme's was "choose life." Today as I was reading a different book, and I came across this phrase again. Several thoughts have come to mind as I have been thinking about this phrase. 1. Choosing life instead of abortion 2. Choosing eternal life with Christ 3. Choosing to live life to the fullest

All of this made me wonder if I am choosing life. Am I living life to the fullest? Do I make the most of every opportunity---opportunities to give, serve, or love? Do I seek out new chances to make memories everyday? Do I live with hope enjoying right now and looking for the future, or do I get weighed down by the past? What can I do this week to "choose life"?

I hope this phrase has made you think as well. Let me know how you choose life each day.
Have a wonderful week!

Deuteronomy 30:19 was used in the book. I wanted to share it here.
"But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob." Deuteronomy 30:17--20
